8 Week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC)

Mindfulness frees us from the conditioning that governs and limits our lives. This results in the flourishing of our human potential to make choices about how we live in connection with ourselves and our world. We help people to transform their lives by training them in being present, responding with compassion and seeing deeply their habitual patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We do this by providing long-term systematic training in Mindfulness for living and see this transformation at the end of every course. This course will help you to build up inner peace, contentment, and love, so you will learn that a sense of wellness is not based on external conditions.

The Mindfulness-Based Living Course (MBLC) is based on the work of international mindfulness teacher Rob Nairn. It is similar to other 8-week Mindfulness programs such as MBSR and MBCT, however, the MBSR is focused on Stress Reduction and MBCT is specific for depression meanwhile the MBLC is open to all. Another key difference: whilst focused on developing mindfulness, the MBLC also introduces methods for nurturing self-compassion and compassion for others. Research has shown that self-compassion greatly enhances emotional wellbeing, it has the potential to boost happiness and reduce anxiety and depression. This course welcomes everybody: from total beginners to seasoned practitioners.

I highly recommend this course for anybody interested in mindfulness because it's all about the teacher and Kati Simpson  is such an example of mindfulness she is  kind, loving, peaceful, compassionate and good humoured and all the other qualities mindfulness develops. I really enjoyed the whole group experience of practicing with an inspirational group of people who were so understanding and kind towards me and I hope I was to them! I've been practicing Mindfulness a good couple of years now, read books on it, been to another mindfulness courses and I can honestly say that this course explain how to do it so clearly and simply, the information and experience I received was invaluable and well worth the money. The last thing I will say on this is that mindfulness helped me deal with depression and anxiety,it just takes practice but they can be overcome. So again thank you Kati and I will always have my gemstone to remind me of your radiance.

Laurna Kavanagh, Ashbourne, Co. Meath

I came across this course by pure accident one night while scanning through the internet. Boy was someone looking out for me. This course is a must, one of those moments in life when lightbulbs go off in your head. I feel blessed to have met Kati, the group and also to have learned so much about how the mind works. It all just makes sense. I would encourage anyone to treat yourself, your children or family and friends to take the time to spend with yourself. Fantastic course loved every moment.
Suzanne Jordan, Dunsaney, Co.Meath.

I found the Mindfulness course a very enriching experience. I learnt to avoid the drama
created by my mind by focus in on the present. When you realise you can learn to do this it is very empowering and adds balance to your life. I became more aware that our lives are made up of 'moments' but you must be present to experience them. Mindfulness is an invaluable life skill that changes your perspective on what is really important. You can learn to filter negative thoughts and nourish positive ones. I learnt that kindness starts within yourself to yourself and then you have the capacity to see kindness in situations that you didn't recognise before which in turn changes the dynamic.
Kati is the essence of what she is teaching.
